Interests and Experiences
I'm a very curious person by nature and always ready to explore new things. I immediately took an interest to Machine Learning when I first started realising the potential it had to solve so many real-world problems. I hope to make some tangible difference to the world around me.
Quark Programmers Inc. Panel Head
Quark is the annual technical fest of BITS Goa, my university. It has several different events which are classified into a few different panels. I'm the Head of all the programming related events. One of our events, Hack by the Beach was immensely successful in its first edition last year.
QSTP
I'm taking a course under the banner of Quark Summer Technical Projects in the field of Deep Learning. We've covered the basics of Machine Learning and have 3 separate streams for some of the most popular fields of Deep Learning: Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing and Reinforcement Learning. I'm a mentor for both the Computer Vision and the Reinforcement Learning streams.
Internship
In the summer of 2020, I got an internship at Qruize Technologies, a company working in the Robotics Process Automation industry. I was taken into a Business Valuation project where I had to analyse the business and provide them with a valuation report detailing the various problems of the company and how they could improve their business from a valuation perspective. I'm quite interested in Finance-related topics such as investing, equity trading, derivatives, accounting and business valuation.
Chess
I'm a professional Chess player with an international FIDE rating. I have actively played chess for almost 10 years.
